Mika is currently a senior at Western High School where she maintains a 3.17 GPA.   After graduation Mika plans to attend Fullerton College to earn an Associate’s Degree.  She will then transfer to a university to complete her undergraduate education by earning a degree in Kinesiology.  Mika would like to pursue a career as a physical therapist and ultimately own a physical therapy practice.

Mika is very active at her high school and in the community.  She has demonstrated her leadership skills by participating in various programs at her school including Associated Student Body and the Link Crew.  Throughout her high school years, Mika has been a member of her school varsity basketball team, as well as a club basketball team.

During the last two years, Mika has participated in the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Orange County Chapter’s Creating Wealthy Women (CWW) program for high school girls.  The program introduces the girls to a variety of life skills, offers exposure to a variety of career options by having professionals come and speak with them and helps prepare the young ladies for college.  Mika faithfully attended and participated in monthly meetings as well as community service activities sponsored by the organization and others community organizations.   As with her school activities, Mika consistently demonstrated her leadership skills and ability to complete assignments throughout her membership with CWW.
